A Hanover College student was arrested after stabbing a visitor in a dorm early Sunday morning, according to police.

A University of Minnesota student was robbed and assaulted near Church Street on the East Bank campus Friday evening.

The victim was walking by the east side of Vincent Hall around 7 p.m. when a group of four young men knocked him to the ground and repeatedly punched him, University police Chief Greg Hestness said.

After being punched in the face, a Georgia Tech student was robbed over the weekend near campus.

San Diego State University student Alana Brooks told 10News she has heard stories about the campus feel changing at night.

According to UCF Police Department reports, only five car thefts have been documented since the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. Each theft occurred in a different parking garage or lot.

A second former Eastern Michigan University football player has been charged in connection with a burglary earlier this month at a campus dormitory.

Bike theft was the number-one reported crime on campus last year, with a total of 329 bikes reported stolen, according to the Stanford Department of Public Safety’s (SDPS) annual Stanford safety report released last month.

The number represents a modest decrease from the 375 reported bike thefts in 2009 and the 353 in 2008. The decline in reported bike thefts is a “good sign,” according to Stanford bicycle program coordinator Ariadne Scott.

A man was fatally shot to death Saturday night near the campus of Howard University in the District. The victim, 20-year-old Keenan Jerel Lee, of Capitol Heights, was found on the 2200 block or Georgia Avenue at about 10:15 p.m., according to police. Howard's homecoming was held Saturday.
