Gunshots fired Monday night just east of the Washburn University campus sent law enforcement officers on a search for the assailant, but there were no reports of arrests as of 10 p.m.

Officers from the Topeka Police Department and Shawnee County Sheriff's Office responded about 6:30 p.m. to the 1700 block of S.W. Washburn where shots were reported to have been fired in the vicinity.
